Hi Lithgow - a wonderful site to start on my browsing career. Lithgow is the place of my birth and the first twenty years of my life. I shall never forget it. I return regularly and still have family there. For those who haven't seen it, I certainly recommend a few days to see the area. The people are very special. I have lived in Sydney since 1966, but still regard Lithgow as home.

Great site! Pass through Lithgow often enough to go fossicking in Sunny Corner. Nice area at Lake Lyell for a spot of fishing. Would someone give me directions to the Thompson Creek Dam? I believe it used to be a quarry that is/was owned by Delta Electricity

My family, the Taits come from the lithgow area. My Great Great Grandfather, William Tait, Is burried at Lithgow (1888). I've lived in Katoomba all my life, and never really noticed Lithgow, until the last few years, I've only ever really thought of it as a stopoff point for Macca's on the way out west!But one thing I have noticed about Lithgow over the years is that, it may be a little country town, but I've always noticed a sense of determination and stong will within the locals that live here. I think it's the kind of country town that will never die, regardless of circumstances, it just has that feeling about it. And this site more than indicates this, Lithgow's on it's way up!Good on all the people who made this possible! well done!

I did a search on the Zig Zag Railways and enjoyed to see steam engines running In other parts of the world too. Here on the Garden Route we have an operational steam train daily except Sunay hauling freight and passengers
