Zig
Zag Historic Railway and Viaducts, the first rail link
to the western region of New South Wales, was internationally
recognised as the engineering marvel of its day. The railway
crossed three massive sandstone viaducts, passed through two
tunnels and traversed two reversing stages on its 150 metre
descent to Lithgow Valley's floor.Take a ride on the Zig Zag,
one of Australia's most exciting stretches of railway. Lithgow

19th Century Eskbank
House offers you a great introduction to Lithgow's history.
You can even see the 'Possum', a steam locomotive from Hoskin's
works, which is on display in the grounds. Open Thursday to
